Line Brew Mix occupies a great space encompassing a sunken outdoor terrace, an elegant Oriental restaurant, a smart bar and screening room, and a New York steakhouse-style bar and restaurant. The owners - who also own the popular Line Brew restaurant - have retained the menu and the decor of the smart Chinese restaurant Di Wang that used to occupy this site and paired it with new steakhouse-inspired offerings. The Di Wang kitchen serves up 'Treasures from Sea, Land and Sky', with Sichuan-style dishes, tofu, dim-sum and stir-fries alongside Chinese classics including Peking duck and sweet 'n' sour chicken. The Line Brew kitchen, meanwhile, offers beefier options in the form of USDA-graded rib-eye for two, marbled or fillet steaks and gourmet burgers plus salads, osso bucco, grilled fish, roast chicken and sides including fries, three types of mash and corn-on-the-cob. We would recommend ordering from the same menu when eating in a group, as the Oriental dishes tend to arrive rather more quickly than their steakhouse counterparts. Choose from a wine list that features plenty of New World and Italian tipples alongside a few flashy French vintages from the 80s, or opt for a cocktail or one of 13 beers. With its superb food, programme of film screenings, live music performances and great vibe, it's little wonder that Line Brew Mix is doing great business.
