  • L'Affiche is set in what is arguably one of Almaty's most picturesque spots. On the corner of the tree-lined Panfilov Street - just opposite the Opera house, itself set against the mountains. Aside from its superb setting, the café-restaurant is decorated in a tasteful, understated style. The ceilings are adorned with Gauguin's Tahitian women, small buddhas create a Zen-like atmosphere and thoughtful touches like footstools as handbag-rests complete the sophisticated ambience. The menu offers a fresh selection of modern European cuisine, from light and delicate balsamic glazed beets, to perfectly-baked lamb ribs, fancy foie gras on apple-pumpkin tartar, to exotic duck leg confit with fried oyster... we recommend it all.
